Eberhard Ostermayer Publicly appointed and sworn auctioneer AUCTION LOT One used Vindö sailing yacht Year of construction: unknown Length: 10.70 m Beam: 3.15 m Draught: 1.60 m Displacement in sailing condition: approx. 8 tonnes Rig type: sloop rig Sail area: 50 m² Engine: Volvo Penta MD17C, three cylinders, 36 hp Engine hours: unknown Cooling system: retrofitted dual-circuit cooling system Fresh-water tank: 300 litres Fuel tanks: total capacity 120 litres (60 litres port; 60 litres starboard) Forward cabin: two berths Port-side quarter berth: one berth Saloon: three berths Headroom: approx. 1.86 m Sail number: 315 The yacht is currently kept at Robbe & Berking for maintenance and storage. Robbe & Berking Classics is a renowned specialist shipyard for classic yachts based in Flensburg, Germany. It must, however, be distinguished from the silverware manufacturer Robbe & Berking, which was founded as early as 1874. The yacht yard itself was not established until the summer of 2008, with the aim of preserving the expertise acquired during the restoration of the historic 12-Metre yacht “SPHINX”. Its managing director is Oliver Berking. Its activities include, in particular: the restoration of classic sailing yachts and motor yachts, where necessary “from the keel up”; the reconstruction of lost or no longer existing yachts on the basis of original historical plans; the traditional construction of new classic wooden yachts; the construction of yachts to contemporary designs, including cruising yachts, racing yachts, motorboats, tenders and dinghies; and the brokerage of classic yachts in cooperation with the long-established yacht broker Baum & König. The neighbouring Robbe & Berking Yachting Heritage Centre, comprising a museum and an extensive specialist library, further underlines the yard’s strong position in the international market for classic yachts. It is important to note, however, that Robbe & Berking was not the original builder of this model. The Vindö 50 was designed by Carl Andersson and built in Sweden by Vindö/Nötesunds Varv AB. CONDITION The sailing yacht will be sold at auction in its present condition. No further technical inspection has been carried out. The yacht has merely been placed in storage. BUYER’S PREMIUM The successful bidder shall pay a buyer’s premium, plus 19% VAT on the buyer’s premium, calculated according to the following scale on the basis of the hammer price (purchase price): 25% plus VAT for a hammer price of up to €99,999.00; 18% plus VAT for a hammer price from €100,000.00 to €199,999.99; 15% plus VAT for a hammer price from €200,000.00 to €349,999.99; 12% plus VAT for a hammer price from €350,000.00 to €499,999.99; 10% plus VAT for a hammer price from €500,000.00 to €699,999.99; 6% plus VAT for a hammer price from €700,000.00 to €999,999.99; 3% plus VAT for a hammer price from €1,000,000.00 to €3,999,999.99; and 2% plus VAT for a hammer price of €4,000,000.00 or more.
