Participation

Participation in the auction is restricted to individuals with full legal capacity or to companies represented by their duly authorized legal representatives having full legal capacity. A prerequisite for participation is the timely prior registration and our confirmation of such registration. For registration, the bidder must submit: a copy of a valid passport or national identity card; for companies, a current commercial register extract evidencing the authority of the managing director or other authorized representative; where applicable, a written power of attorney; and a transfer of EUR 1.00 from the bidder's own bank account maintained in the bidder's name for identity verification purposes. Registration must be completed no later than one day before the auction. Bidding Participation in the auction requires prior registration in accordance with the German Anti-Money Laundering Act (Geldwäschegesetz – GwG). Security Deposit In accordance with the German Anti-Money Laundering Act (GwG), we are legally required to verify the identity of all bidders. Accordingly, each bidder must transfer a security deposit of EUR 1.00 from a personal bank account held in the bidder's own name. Payments from third-party accounts cannot be accepted. We reserve the right, where previous payment defaults or payment refusals are known to us, to require an increased security deposit of up to the anticipated hammer price. Such amount shall be determined by the auctioneer appointed to conduct the auction. The security deposit will either: be credited against the purchase price, or be refunded after completion of the auction. Should the successful bidder fail to complete the purchase or otherwise breach Sections 14 or 15 of the Auction Terms and Conditions, the security deposit shall be forfeited to us as liquidated damages. Upon the fall of the hammer, the risk passes immediately to the successful bidder.

Payment must be made immediately in Euro by one of the following methods: instant online bank transfer, same-day wire transfer (to be arranged with your bank in advance), German Bundesbank cheque (LZB cheque), or irrevocable bank-certified cheque. As we act in a fiduciary capacity and are obliged to ensure immediate payment, deferred bank transfers cannot be accepted. Language The auction is conducted exclusively in German, which is the official language required for this legally regulated public auction procedure. We welcome bidders from all countries. We may be able to provide limited assistance in English, French or Spanish. Assistance in other languages cannot be guaranteed. If you do not fully understand the German language, you are strongly advised to appoint a qualified interpreter to ensure that all announcements, auction conditions and legal documents are fully understood.
